Sooty's Speedboat
First produced in 1958 and my favourite boat ever produced by Sutcliffe was Sooty's Speedboat. Under licensing with Yorkshire's own Harry Corbertt (Creator of Sooty) Sutcliffe produced this beautiful speedboat with hand painted Sooty figure. These often got lost and therefore Sutcliffe started to sell replacements. Sooty was only ever sold in cream/white but the yellow prototype is also pictured below.
Noddy's Speedboat
Noddy's speedboat was produced from 1959 and then re-issued in 1979. Like Sooty's speedboat it came with a small figure of Noddy. It was produced in three colour variations blue hull, green hull and red hull. Noddy speedboats demand high prices and have become very collectible.
